Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has been a chef, television host in America and a teacher at Institute of Culinary Education. Anne Burrell. Burrell hosts on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for the Food Network, as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her distinctive spikey blonde locks and pump up appearance, offers easy techniques any person can master. Chef Burrell also has worked in several of the city's most prestigious establishments, been studying Italian cuisine and its traditions, and competed on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up living in New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her when she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an amazing experience for me. I couldn't seem to get enough pleasure from it. Following graduation, Chef Burrell lived in Italy for one year taking classes at classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Also, she was employed at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin highly rated restaurant) located in Tuscany. When she was in Italy she developed an appreciation for and understanding of Italian food. It had a significant effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens the lives of children facing difficulties. She also serves as a Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador, where she advocates for the awareness of juvenile diabetes. Burrell travels extensively across the United States in her position as both a mentor and public speaker in which she speaks about her professional life and the joy of cooking. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne has always said I feel very fortunate to share what I love most to others.
