The award was presented to her as an Outstanding Single Newscast Emmy Award at the Emmy Awards in 2004 due to the reporting she did on the Republican National Convention. Being a vocal reporter she drew international attention to her work by criticizing US President Donald Trump's inflammatory remarks made about a television anchor.
